I think Toyota, and I think the rest of the Japenese auto industry, has begun to employ 12-year-olds to design their cars.

I get wanting to differentiate themselves from everyone else, but hot DAMN they are bad.

Can’t say I agree. As awful as the gen. 4 Prius is (except for those tail lights, they rock) it still isn’t as ugly as the Mirai. I will, however, say “Thanks!” to you and to Dsscats for posting pictures showing the rear views of the Mirai and Prius. The front views are even more painful.

Whatever designer came up with the idea of putting those horrid huge fake brake vents on the front of all new sedans needs to have all his pencils taken away; he should only be allowed to use an eraser for the next few years.

Fixed, kinda (please ignore bad photoshop):

Removed the bottom taillight.

Now it looks boring and predictable (so perfectly Toyota), but much less ugly.

I admire Toyota for having the balls to keep it in production this long. If it looked better and hydrogen was more widely available I’d happily daily one. The interior looks awesome.
